KidzWorld Theme Parks, Amusement and Recreational Club, Incorporated (KWI) is the latest addition to the growing network of the Ponce Group of Companies, headed by Vicente C. Ponce. Under the management of his son Ting G. Ponce, an alumnus of the University of the Philippines, the company has been steadfastly carving a niche in the leisure and recreation industry.

KWI is currently working with people in the industry who, in sharing the company’s vision and passion, are helping to bring KidzWorld to life. These include the V. C. Ponce Co., Inc., Vine Development Corp., International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), PCT Asia, FINBAR Asia Philippines Inc., Amusement Leisure Worldwide(Canada), Trans-Asia (Philippines), Inc. and DCCD Engineering Corporation

The Beginning

With their vision of redefining the leisure and recreation industry, V. C. Ponce Co., Inc. and Vine Development Corp., through KidzWorld, brought about KidzWorld Edutainment and Adventure Club Resort (“KidzWorld”), an exclusive members-only club complex in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

KidzWorld’s design philosophy is based on a 20-year study by Dr. Lauren Bradway, PhD on Human Ecology. Dr. Bradway discovered that “a child who can put more than one sense of style of learning to work has a greater chance at success compared to a child who relies on a single style of learning.”

With the total child development in mind, KidzWorld adapted the concept “edutainment” – a unique combination of education and entertainment that enables the whole family to learn together while playing and having fun. KidzWorld stands as the first child-oriented nature, sports, and adventure club resort in the country with this distinctive design philosophy.

These include the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), V.C. Ponce Co., Inc., Vine Development Corp., PCT Asia, FINBAR Asia Philippines Inc., Amusement Leisure Worldwide (Canada), Trans-Asia (Philippines), Inc. and DCCD Engineering Corporation.

In its commitment to provide a safe and dynamic environment for all, KidzWorld joined the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the largest association of permanently situated amusement and entertainment centers worldwide. Other members of the IAAPA are “Disneyland” in California, “Disneyworld” and “SeaWorld” in Florida, and “Ocean Park” in Hong Kong.

V.C. Ponce Co., Inc. is classified by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board as “AAA”. It was the first private company to implement Republic Act 3741 known as the “Private Financing Act” where a private company can design, finance and construct a public structure/edifice in the late 60’s. With this law, VCPCI built the Mactan Bridge in Cebu, during which the company pioneered the use of the RCD (Reversed Circular Drill) technology in Asia. In the ‘80s, the Gov’t. introduced and modified RA 3741 and is now called “Build-Operate Transfer” (BOT).

V.C. Ponce Co., Inc. also received an award and gained international stature and recognition from both European and American Civil Engineering Associations when it redesigned, rehabilitated and placed into operation the then "condemned" Mindanao Portland Cement Corporation. Its success in the MPCC brought two (2) other cement plants, the controversial majority ownership of Iligan Cement Corporation and the Floro Cement Corporation (originally named Victory Cement Corporation, now known as Alsons Cement Corporation).

Vine Development Corporation, the landowner of KidzWorld Edutainment and Adventure Club Resort, is a real estate development company engaged in land, banking and development, and belongs to the diverse network of the Ponce Group of Companies. The company is currently developing its various land holdings in Cavite, including more than eighty (80) hectares of residential and commercial facilities located at the back of the KidzWorld complex, in partnership with Robinsons Land Corporation.

PCT Asia, KidzWorld’s main architect, is composed of a group of dedicated, determined, and dynamic designers bound together by a common mission of providing an environment meant to enrich lives. The group is working with IAAPA’s accredited and internationally acclaimed consultancy firms to ensure quality facilities and amenities inside the KidzWorld complex

FINBAR Asia Philippines, Inc. Kidzworld has tapped the financial expertise of FINBAR in its financial and investment program. FINBAR Asia includes a dedicated team of professionals, with a wide and varied experience in financial and project management, with offices located in Philippines, America, England, and Switzerland, to provide clients with a truly global service.

Amusement Leisure Worldwide is a Canada-based company that has been providing water equipments and services to the water leisure development industry worldwide for more than twenty (20) years. One of their projects is the acclaimed wave pool in the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Also providing assistance are other companies such as Austral Quartzon of Australia, which specializes in special pool finishing Westech Ltd. of Switzerland for amusement rides; DCCD Engineering Corporation, and Trans-Asia (Philippines), Inc.

Working together, this consortium of some of the best in the industry ensures that first-rate facilities and world-class services will be available for KidzWorld members, attesting again to the company’s commitment – that of improving the quality of life by strengthening family bonds and values, achieving total individual development, helping instill nationalism, and promoting ingenuity, learning and environmental preservation.
